Before your first order

First time? Breathe.

Handing your laundry to someone new can feel strange. Here’s exactly what to expect and how to prep — so your first Frenchies order feels easy and safe.

Independent local Washers Orders never mixed Contactless handoff

Step 1 · Prep your laundry

What to bag & separate.

Bag it up

Everyday wash-and-fold can go in together. Empty pockets and close zippers so nothing gets lost or snagged.

Separate the specials

Set aside anything delicate, specialty, or that needs its own handling — and flag it at pickup so it gets the right care.

Your approved handoff container

Before your first pickup, Frenchies confirms your approved handoff container and exact setup instructions. The planned Frenchies tote is labeled, weather-conscious, and protects your laundry from the elements.

Want certain items returned on hangers? Place enough hangers inside your tote or hamper before pickup. Frenchies and your Washer do not supply customer hangers unless the order specifically states otherwise.

Step 2 · Access & pickup

What to expect at handoff.

Contactless by default

Washers pick up and return at your designated porch or outdoor spot. No one needs to enter your home — ever.

Winter-ready

Alaska weather is expected. Note a covered spot, gate code, or driveway detail so pickups stay smooth in any season.

A consistent spot

Pick one reliable handoff location. Documented pickups and returns mean there’s no guesswork about where your laundry is.

Step 3 · Special instructions

Tell us how you like it.

  • Request a fragrance-free option, or leave your own detergent with your tote.
  • Flag delicate or specialty items at pickup so they get the right care.
  • Note access details — gate codes, apartment entries, or a covered winter spot.
